Infinity and beyond
C'est fini! C'est fini! The final draft of Lullaby is finished! *pops champagne*
Two years ago, I finished this book - the first draft, that is. I've spent the past two years writing two more drafts, based both times on the critiques of several readers (thank you, readers!), and I really believe that the book as it stands today is stronger than it has ever been. I don't plan to do any more work to this novel unless it is at the behest of someone who intends to publish it. And I'm very much hoping that someone is not me.
In other words, at this time I am not pursuing self-publishing, so the book is not currently available. I really, really appreciate those of you who have asked when you can read it and I promise that as I go through the next steps of the process (which are terrifying and likely to yield a lot of rejection letters), I will keep everyone posted. I do have a form you can submit if you would like to be notified of any updates. My plan is to move into shopping phase; I will be looking for an agent or some sort of representation to see me on to the next point in the process.
In the meantime, I'm hard at work on a second novel and am also bouncing around some ideas for a one-act play and a couple of short stories, so there is much on the horizon and lots to be excited about. I am so thankful for everyone who has encouraged me and supported me - thank you, thank you. I know this is a big, huge, unlikely dream I'm chasing, but with all of you at my side, hopefully I can take this thing...who knows? To infinity and beyond.
